NBA star Stephen Curry celebrated his 12th wedding anniversary with Ayesha Curry on the Greek island of Santorini.
The Golden State Warriors player wrote on Instagram: “My Woman. I Love you more than you know. I’m thankful for every experience we have shared together. The highs, the lows, the ways life has brought us closer together through it all. God continues to bless us. You have brought me so much joy and happiness from day 1. Let’s keep going. More! I love you.”
“12 years of being married to my best friend and love of my life. 15 years of dates and making memories. So much more to go. I love this man so much!!! Feeling blessed beyond measure…” Ayesha Curry wrote.
The couple shared pictures of their new honeymoon on the Cycladic island famous for its stunning views of the Aegean Sea. They also took a boat trip to visit the more secluded beaches and coves of Santorini.
Stephen and Ayesha Curry have been married for 12 years, but the couple’s love story started way back when they were teenagers.
The pair met when Stephen was just 15 and Ayesha was 14 while attending the same church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In a biography about his life entitled The Miraculous Rise of Steph Curry, Stephen’s sister recalled Ayesha making an impression on her brother early on. “She would find him after church, barely say two words, and, like, walk away,” Sydel recalled in the book. “That’s how she would flirt with him in a way. He clearly liked it. It left an impression.”
Once Ayesha realized that her former childhood pal was interested in something more than friendship, everything fell into place. Stephen and Ayesha tied the knot on June 30, 2011 and welcomed their first child, daughter Riley, the following year.
Their family has since grown by two with the addition of daughter Ryan and son Canon in 2015 and 2018.

Widely regarded as the greatest shooter and one of the greatest players of all time, Curry is credited with revolutionizing the sport by inspiring teams and players to take more three-point shots.
He is a four-time NBA champion, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), an NBA Finals MVP, an NBA All-Star Game MVP, a nine-time NBA All-Star, and a nine-time All-NBA selection, including four times on the first team.
Curry scores a lot from underneath the rim all the way to near half-court. Using an unorthodox jump shot, he releases the ball from his hands in under half a second by releasing it on the way up, adding extra arc to his shot and making it difficult to block.
The shooting proficiency earned him the nickname “Baby-Faced Assassin” during his pre-NBA years, and “Chef Curry” while in the NBA.
He is also known for his ball handling and playmaking, and for putting pressure on defenses with his long range, leading the NBA in field goals made from beyond 28 feet in 2016. A clutch scorer, he often shoots at his best in high-pressure moments, and takes game-winning shots.
